Our village offers a unique opportunity for exploration and adventure in the embrace of nature. Tours in the mountains and along the river are a true odyssey for nature lovers. Walking the paths that cross the dense oak forest, the visitor comes into contact with the magic of the wild nature, enjoying the tranquility and rejuvenation it offers. The natural beauty of the landscape, with the crystal clear waters of the river and the rich greens of the forest, composes an idyllic landscape, ideal for photographs, hiking or simply relaxing. Local gastronomy
In our mountain village, gastronomy is a journey into the traditional flavors of Greek nature. Here, the dishes are rich in meat, mushrooms and vegetables, grown with the care of local farmers. The meat, always fresh and juicy, is cooked with craftsmanship, revealing the richness of the flavors of the region. The mushrooms, collected from the surrounding forests, add a special touch to the dishes, while the vegetables, fresh and full of colors, perfectly complement any flavor composition. The local cuisine of our village is a real feast of flavors that combines simplicity with authenticity, inviting the visitor to a world of delicious pleasures.
Visit to the Folklore Museum
The Museum presents the traditional way of life with material evidence and the utilitarian objects it preserves in its collection. The aim is for young people who visit the Museum to gain a concise but vivid understanding of the living conditions, the adaptations of the inhabitants and the solutions and aesthetics they developed, as well as the local production and economy. It is perhaps the only Museum in Epirus that autonomously presents the actions of the villagers abroad with specific documentation. The Museum operates with a voluntary offer of work. Visits are possible only by prior arrangement.
The guided tour lasts depending on the interest of the visitor, usually around 40 minutes. The Polydross Museum is being enriched by expanding its exhibition spaces and the areas of the exhibits with innovative presentations. New expansion and enrichment projects began in 2008 and were completed in 2010, with the section that presents the relationship of the village residents with Letters, the development of education and many written documents.
